How To Build Muscle Correctly

If you are a new bodybuilder you are probably not lifting weights the right way. If you do not lift weights correctly then you can seriously damage yourself. This article will tell you how to build muscle correctly.

If you do not know how to build muscle correctly then you can seriously damage yourself. Many bodybuilders lift weights 24/7. For some people this is okay but for others this is not good for them.

For the majority of you, you should only be lifting weights four to five days a weeks. This is important as the other two or three days will be used to rest your muscles to help them grow. You should also only lift weights an hour or an hour and a half a day. If you lift weights anymore then that you will ruin all the progress you make with your muscles by over working them.

Here are a couple of things that you must do to help you build muscle correctly:

1. Warming up is one of the best things you can do when you want to build muscle correctly. Stretching and doing light lifting before you go to the heavy stuff will save you a lot of muscle pulls and so forth.

2. The second thing you should do is use dumbbells whenever possible. You need to make sure you use them correctly though. When you are lifting pay close attention to your movements. When you use heavy dumbbells it is easy to do a wrong movement and hurt yourself, so lift properly with dumbbells and you will gain a lot more than you would with machines.

3. The most important form of exercise you can do for your legs is the squat motion. If you properly do the squat motion, bending your knees to 90 degrees and keeping your back straight, then you will be able to build muscle mass and strength the right way.

4. Do only weight that you can handle and for only sets and reps you can handle. I would recommend you do between 5-10 reps, depending on the amount of weight you are going to do, and for between 3-4 sets. You should never do the same muscle group two days in a row and should take at least two days off when doing this amount of reps.

Those are just four things I would recommend you do when you are trying to build muscle correctly.
